Fastest Way To Farm Runes in Elden Ring

In this post, I’ll show you the fastest way to farm runes in Elden Ring. You can earn close to a hundred thousand runes in a short time. It is a fairly easy method that is definitely worth your time. You can also level up five or six times just by doing this.

The first thing you need for this method to work is Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot. This item temporarily increases the runes you earn. These items are quite valuable and pretty rare in the game. However, there is a place where you can get it for free.

Where you need to go is the Church of Elleh. You cannot miss this church because it is one of the key areas at the very beginning of the game. When you get there, go down to the beach. If you head to the back-side next to the waterfall, you’ll find a dead man with a Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot.

The second step of this method is to get some sort of weapon that deals bleed damage. Because if you use a weapon that does bleed damage, it will take much less time and you can farm runes faster.

If you don’t have one, don’t worry. I’ll show you where to find a weapon that deals bleed damage. Head to the Forlorn Hound Evergaol, very close to the starting area. When you get there, stand in the middle of the big circle-looking thing. After activating it, you will get into a boss fight. He will be a very weak boss that is pretty easy to kill. After you take him down, he will give you Bloodhound’s Fang.

Bloodhound’s Fang is a good weapon that deals a lot of bleed damage. If you slash your enemy repeatedly, the damage will stack. This weapon will come in really handy for slaying giant dragons. That’s what we’re going to do next.

Now we will slay a giant dragon. To do this, head to Fort Faroth across the dragon bridge. We’ve marked the location of the dragon in the map screenshot below.

Once you reach the location, get off your horse and go between the leg and wings of this giant dragon. This is an easy way to kill him. Normally it is very difficult to kill him because a group of mini dragons comes to protect him. All you have to do is keep slashing at him until he dies.

Don’t forget to activate the Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot when you think the dragon is about to die. After killing him, you will receive 5 dragon hearts and 90,000 runes as a reward. Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot gives you an additional 20,000 runes. If you don’t activate it, you will get around 70,000 runes for killing the giant dragon.

It takes about 10 minutes to kill the dragon with a weapon that deals bleed damage. If you use other sorts of weapons, it will probably take you an hour to kill him.
