    Ember Companion Guide for ESO

In this Elder Scrolls Online guide, we’re going to cover everything about Ember, a new companion added to the game with the High Isle expansion. We’ll show you how to unlock the companion and share some builds for Ember. Companions are non-player characters who will fight and follow you throughout the game.

How to Unlock Ember Companion in ESO

To unlock Companion Ember in ESO, you will need to complete the quest Tower Full of Trouble. You can find her at Tor Draioch Wayshrine. Once you complete the quest she will follow you as a Khajiit Companion.

    How to Level Ember

You will need to kill mobs to level up Ember. Because companions do not level up by completing quests or crafting items. Your only option is combat experience. Find yourself a good spot with lots of enemies and start killing.

    Rapport Leveling

The rapport level is basically your relationship status with Ember. By performing certain actions in the game, you can decrease and increase the rapport level. If your rapport is maxed out, your companion will like it. If you lose too much rapport, she may refuse to be summoned.

The following lists detail the actions that Ember approves or disapproves of.

    Approval

    • Winning a Tales of Tribute games
    • Completing Thieves Den board quest
    • Killing werewolves and wolves
    • Thieves Guild heists
    • Pickpocketing guards
    • Looting thieves or containers
    • Choosing to flee if caught by a guard
    • Succeeding in fleeing
    • Invoking the Clemency if accosted by a guard
    • Summoning Big-Eared Ginger KittenĀ pet
    • Mages Guild dailies
    • Fencing a purple-quality item
    • Selling purple quality items
    • Harvesting a runestones
    • Entering a restricted area

    Disapproval

    • Killing an innocent NPC
    • Getting detected while in a restricted area
    • Fishing
    • Getting killed by a guard
    • Willingly paying a bounty when caught by a guard
    • Being spotted when looting a safebox, container, or pickpocketing

The fastest way to increase the rapport level is to complete the daily guild quests. There are 15 Mage Guild quests that you can complete each day and each quest gives 125 rapport points as a reward.

    Ember’s Companion Perk

Ember’s intuition gives you a chance to get hidden wallets when pickpocketing. You can find extra gold in these hidden wallets. This perk will be active when you summon the companion. But if you complete the Ember’s Gang quest, you can unlock the Luxury Thieves Tools, which will give you the perk always even when Ember is not summoned.

    Ember Builds

Magicka Sorcerer Build: Which build you choose will depend on your personal playstyle. However, if you want to get the most DPS out of your companion, you’ll want to equip her with medium-aggressive armor. You’ll want to give her lightning staff to increase the damage. Elemental Barricade is a good skill for DPS that can deal a lot of damage over 8 seconds. Other skills we chose are Crystal Blast, Starfall, Shocking Burst, Thunderous Strike, and Raging Storm.

Healer Build: You’ll want soothing gear and light armor. A good skill set would be Shard Wards, Mending Incantation, Rejuvenation, Reverse Entropy, Quick Fix, and Raging Storm.
