    Switch Axe Build Sunbreak

In this MHR guide, we’re going to show you the best early game Switch Axe build in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak. You can make this build at the beginning of the game. You won’t need to kill any end-game monsters to unlock weapons or gear. It’s a pretty strong build and a bit tanky.

Best Early Game Switch Axe Build in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak

Maximal Gasher + is our weapon of choice for this build. It has 280 raw attack power and 0% affinity. It doesn’t have purple sharpness, but it has a good chunk of blue sharpness. We put Anti-Aquatic Jewel 2 rampage decoration in the rampage slot. You can swap the rampage decoration with Anti-Dragon Jewel 2 or Fanged Exploit Jewel 2 when needed.

The build contains the following armor pieces:

    • Almudron Helm S
    • Velociprey Mail
    • Velociprey Braces
    • Tetranadon Coil X
    • Hunter’s Greaves X

    Skills

Attack boost, Weakness Exploit, Divine Blessing, Protective Polish, Heroics, and Rapid Morph are the main skills we recommend you prioritize. Level 3 Protective Polish will keep your weapon sharp for 90 seconds. Attack Boost will increase your attack power. Divine Blessing is a pretty good skill that has a chance to reduce the damage taken by players. Rapid Morph will increase your speed and attack power. Heroics is another skill you should have. While active, it increases raw attack power and gives you free defense.

You will have a lot of freedom to swap rampage decorations to kill certain monsters. You can change the armor pieces and customize the build for the end-game bosses.
